We have planted our garden to attract wildlife of all kinds and it’s working. For example, we see many blackbirds, as pictured here. The song of the male is really quite beautiful and, although they sing most frequently from Spring to late Summer, they can be heard year-round.
Only the male is actually black. The brown bird shown is the female.
